Marjana Harcet works as researcher at the project Dialog between Christianity and Islam in European post-secular society at Institute for religious studies, ecumenism and dialogue at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Theology. She works as well as a teacher assistant and as coordinator of research work on the same faculty. Dr. Marjana Harcet holds a B.A. and M.S. in theology and Ph.D. in theology in field of religiology from University of Ljubljana. Her professional interests include religion influence on different society groups, construction of gender identities in different religious traditions, human rights, Islamic law, relationship between Christianity and Islam, secularization... Her book, Allah brides: between the subordination and autonomy, was published by the Institutum Studiorum Humanitatis, Graduate School of the Humanities in 2007.
